The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kikkas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Forbes defends it nicely.

and Forbes counters with a series of strikes. Kikkas will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kikkas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Forbes avoids it really well and circles away.
Hampton Forbes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Osvald Kikkas.

Forbes clinches up with Kikkas and pushes him back against the ropes.
Forbes tries to throw a body punch but Kikkas avoids it by throwing Forbes back against the ropes.
Forbes fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Still in the clinch, Forbes scores with a nice short uppercut.
Forbes lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kikkas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Forbes lands a right hand.
Forbes pushes Kikkas back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Kikkas jumps into guard, dragging Forbes to the mat.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Kikkas is looking for a triangle but Forbes pushes his legs off easily.

Forbes wants to get up but he can't break Kikkas's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kikkas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Forbes is aware though and is defending well.

Forbes gets to his feet. Kikkas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Forbes counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

It looks like Osvald Kikkas has been cut.
Kikkas doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Forbes drives through and clinches with Kikkas against the ropes.

Forbes can't find room to land a body shot as Kikkas controls the action.
Forbes makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Kikkas blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Forbes keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kikkas's efforts to push away.
Forbes tries a body shot but Kikkas blocks it.

Kikkas gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Kikkas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Forbes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kikkas works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Forbes wants to improve his position but Kikkas is controlling well.

Kikkas seems to be looking for submissions.

Kikkas seems to be working for a kimura but Forbes defends the submission attempt.

Kikkas looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Forbes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kikkas on the ground.

Kikkas maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Forbes could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kikkas has cracked it and Forbes is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kikkas!
