Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tatum fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Spade sprawls well initially but Tatum persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Spade is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Tatum pulls his head out easily.
Tatum wants to free his trapped foot but Spade is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Tatum is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Spade defends it well.

Tatum is pressing down on Spade's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spade is holding on for now.

Tatum is working for a kimura but Spade is defending it quite comfortably.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Spade is on top in guard.

Spade decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Spade fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tatum manages to avoid it.

Spade works over Tatum's head and body with a nice combination.
Tatum shoots in but no luck this time.
Spade throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tatum.
Spade misses with a few strikes there.

Tatum has hold of Spade's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Spade manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Spade is looking to improve his position but Tatum isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tatum cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Spade sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Tatum is working for a kimura but Spade is defending it quite comfortably.
Spade moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Spade is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tatum is controlling him.

Tatum postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Spade is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tatum, into his guard.

Spade thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Spade pushes down on Tatum's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Tatum tries to get to full guard but Spade has control of the leg.

Spade wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tatum, who protects the arm well.

Spade is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tatum is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Spade stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Spade throws a jab when Tatum was well out of range.
Tatum shoots in and drives through. Spade sprawls well.
Tatum takes one to the side of the head.

Spade misses with an uppercut.
Spade throws a nice looking combination but Tatum bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Spade throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Tatum shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Tatum is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Spade wants to stand and escape but Tatum is having none of it.

Spade had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tatum is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Spade Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tatum's back instead.

Tatum might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tatum is trying to defend against the choke here but Spade has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Spade Tightens the hold and Tatum taps out furiously! Spade displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
