The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikoteen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nikoteen drops Jong Dong with a beautiful combination! Jong Dong stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nikoteen is looking for the KO!
It looks like Kim Jong Dong has been cut.
Marcellous Nikoteen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jong Dong dodges the punch combination from Nikoteen.
Nikoteen gets caught napping as Jong Dong dives in and scores a takedown. Nikoteen manages to retain guard.

Jong Dong stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jong Dong wants it to stay on the feet.
Jong Dong dives in and grabs Nikoteen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nikoteen pushes down on Jong Dong's head and hops out.
Nikoteen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jong Dong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kim Jong Dong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcellous Nikoteen.

so Jong Dong counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jong Dong distracts Nikoteen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Nikoteen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nikoteen lands with an uppercut that bounces Jong Dong off the cage and back into range.
Jong Dong shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jong Dong showed some decent athleticism there.

Nikoteen tries to kick Jong Dong off but Jong Dong keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Jong Dong working over Nikoteen with some ground and pound. Nikoteen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jong Dong has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Nikoteen throws a combination. Jong Dong tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Nikoteen thumps Jong Dong with a low kick.

Jong Dong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nikoteen's waist but Nikoteen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jong Dong off to one side.
Nikoteen misses with a two punch combination.
Nikoteen buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Jong Dong blocks the leg kick.
Nikoteen tries a head kick but it misses.
Nikoteen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jong Dong.
Jong Dong throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nikoteen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jong Dong is in Nikoteen's guard.
Jong Dong is working Nikoteen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Nikoteen can't keep his opponent in guard - Jong Dong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Jong Dong is nestled in close to Nikoteen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jong Dong connects with a nice short shot to Nikoteen's temple.
