PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tom Servo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darrell Rutledge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darrell Rutledge told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tom Servo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutledge displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Rutledge looks to land a combination but Servo avoids it well.
Servo staying out of range there.
Rutledge misses with a series of wild punches.
Rutledge throws a right and a left that Servo avoids nicely.
Rutledge misses with a wild combination.
Rutledge changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Servo tries to avoid it but Rutledge manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Servo to the ground. Servo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Servo rushes Rutledge and presses him up against the cage.

Servo has Rutledge pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rutledge manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Rutledge drops Servo with a huge uppercut! Servo drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Rutledge is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
