Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Redwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and FunnyOffensive Namehere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Namehere looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Namehere controlling the pace.
Redwood is looking for a sweep. Namehere is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Redwood is defending against the submission attempts here by Namehere.

Namehere is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Redwood doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Namehere.

Namehere is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Redwood is just riding it out for now. Namehere eventually gives up the hold.

Redwood is refusing to be controlled, as Namehere sits in half guard.
Redwood wants to sweep but Namehere has passed to side control!
Redwood tries to improve position but can't.
Redwood can't do much from the bottom here.
Redwood tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Namehere wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Namehere just content to control the position.
Redwood tries to improve position but can't.

Namehere is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Redwood knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Namehere creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Namehere decides to stand back up. Namehere steps back and let's Redwood get back to his feet.
Redwood fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Namehere avoids it really well and circles away.

Namehere tries a head kick but it misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Redwood enables Namehere to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Redwood manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Namehere drops back, looking for a kneebar! Redwood looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Redwood looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Redwood!
Namehere manages to work his way to half guard, despite Redwood's best efforts.
Redwood with the ground and pound but Namehere uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Namehere tries to strike from the bottom.

Namehere working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Redwood doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Redwood manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Namehere keeping moving, preventing Redwood from controlling successfully.

Namehere is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Redwood defends well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Redwood missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Namehere working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Redwood.
Redwood trying to control but Namehere is working from the bottom.
Redwood is really struggling to control Namehere but he's trying to hold on to the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Namehere wriggles free and stands up.

Namehere dives in and scores a takedown into Redwood's guard.

Namehere trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Namehere got a little sloppy there for a moment and Redwood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Namehere has managed to get both his arms back between Redwood's legs - danger averted.
Namehere in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Redwood looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Namehere postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Namehere postures up and lands a big shot to Redwood's brow.
Namehere throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Redwood works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Namehere is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Namehere slips nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Redwood is trying to get back to full guard.
Namehere is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Redwood!
Namehere controlling the pace for now.
Namehere is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Redwood can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Redwood is trying to reverse the position but instead Namehere has taken his back - oops!
Redwood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Namehere on the ground.
Namehere keeps control of the position as Redwood tries to break free.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Namehere is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Redwood won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Namehere off his unconscious opponent!
