The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt

and Mashinata moves into the clinch.
Mashinata tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jackson avoids it.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Mashinata manages to get underhooks.
Jackson trying to stall but Mashinata improves his position.
Mashinata gets underhooks to prevent Jackson's takedown attempt.
Stuno Mashinata has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bo Jackson.
Come on Mashinata - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Jackson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mashinata smiles and moves away.
Jackson blocks a head kick by Mashinata.

Mashinata thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jackson has momentary wrist control but Mashinata slips an elbow through the middle.
Mashinata passes into half guard.
Jackson wants to control but Mashinata is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mashinata perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mashinata's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Jackson has hold of Mashinata's hands but Mashinata slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
