Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Light (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Light comes to the cage accompanied by Ride for This-Fabolous. Mir has chosen Spoilin For A Fight as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mir blocks the body kick.
Mir lands with an overhand left.
A head kick misses from Light.
Light tries a head kick but it misses.
Light misses with a head kick.
Light fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mir scores with a three punch combo!
Mir checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Light throws a series of punches but Mir avoids them all with ease.
An inside leg kick from Light misses.
Light ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mir moves away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jab by Light.
Light scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mir fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Light avoids it really well and circles away.
Mir misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mir moves out of range of the body kick.
Light misses the shot to the body.
Light tries to land a front kick but Mir steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Light throws a push kick but Mir slaps the foot to one side.
Light attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Mir lands with a shot to the body.
Light uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mir.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mir connects with a body shot that sends Light's belly button to the back.
A jab from Mir misses.
Mir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Light napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Light parries the strikes from Mir easily there. Mir is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Light to escape.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mir thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Light manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mir's best efforts.
Mir wants to take a breather but Light is having none of it.
Light gets back to full guard.
Mir stopping the sweep attempt from Light.

Mir trying to control but Light is working from the bottom.
Miris looking to pass into half guard but Light pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Light is in guard.
Light has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Light wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving.
Light trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Light slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mir manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mir lands a heavy elbow.
Mir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Light is squirming around, avoiding Mir's attempts to control the action.
Light is in a horrible position here. Mir smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Light working to try and regain half guard.
Mir tries to control but Light wriggling away.
Light wants to control but Mir is having none of it.
Mir wants to control the pace but Light is squirming around nicely.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Mir prevents Light from getting the reversal.
That's five minutes gone in the round.
Mir pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Mir scoring with strikes but Light is staying in there.
Mir trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Light is trying to escape the mount.
Mir with shots to the head and body - Light looks very uncomfortable down there.
Light is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mir takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Oh Light is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mir working the ground and pound effectively.
Mir postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Light is out cold - huge knockout for Mir!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Frank Mir!
In his post fight interview, Frank Mir started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
