Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greg Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luk Strike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luk Strike!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carter moves into the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Carter.
Carter throws a head punch that misses.
Carter misses with a hook from the clinch.
Carter working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
A nice left hand lands by Carter.
A body shot lands from Carter.

Strike manages to pull guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Carter throwing strikes from guard but Strike blocks nicely.
Carter sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Carter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Strike thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Carter looking to sit in guard and control but Strike gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Strike passes Carter's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Strike wants to control but Carter is keeping him busy.

Strike is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Strike thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Carter tries to get to full guard but Strike has control of the leg.
Strike has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Strike tries to stand and escape but Carter is controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Strike wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carter keeps working.
Carter avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Strike.
Strike is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Strike seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Luk Strike hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Carter misses the shot to the body.
Carter throws a body punch but Strike moves out of range.
Carter lands a nice shot that snaps Strike's head back.
Carter lands a really nice looking cross but Strike seems unphased.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Carter moves into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A short right from Carter.
Carter working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Carter swings wildly with an uppercut but Strike uses good head movement to avoid it.
Carter fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Strike is trying to pull guard but Carter turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Carter prevents Strike from breaking the clinch.
Carter fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Strike takes a shot to the head.
A right hand to the body from Strike.
Strike can't break the clinch.
Strike tries to break free but Carter pushes him back against the cage.
Carter lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Strike backwards.
A nice right hand lands inside from Carter.
Strike's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Strike backwards.
Strike looks gassed!
Carter lands a right hand.
Carter misses with the head strike.
Carter blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Carter lands with a short shot to the head.
Carter gets through Strike's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Carter lands with a light punch inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carter is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Carter presses Strike against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Carter lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A short right from Carter.
Carter scores with a hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carter lands a left hand.
Carter lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Carter lands an uppercut.
A short uppercut from Carter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Carter dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Carter lands a big right hand that sends Strike crashing to the mat! Carter stays standing though and waves Strike back to his feet!


Strike is rocked!
Strike is looking to clinch but Carter is avoiding it.
Strike is still on wobbly legs! Can Carter finish him?
Strike misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carter is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Carter leaves Strike with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Strike seems to have recovered his senses.
Carter blocks a leg kick.
Strike fails with a takedown attempt.
Carter misses with a two punch combination.
Strike tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Carter rushes Strike and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Carter working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Strike tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carter smiles and moves away.
Greg Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luk Strike.
Strike get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Strike stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Carter runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Greg Carter!
