Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filippo Terranova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terranova looks for a takedown but Rua sprawls well.
Terranova misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rua shoots in looking for a takedown. Terranova tries to sprawl out of it but Rua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Terranova manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rua drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Terranova has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rua can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Terranova is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rua knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Terranova on the ground.

Terranova has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Rua. Oh but Terranova has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Rua goes limp - he's gone! Terranova jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
