PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colin Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bodies by Drowning Pool. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Colin Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wallace scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Wallace lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.


Jacobs is rocked!


It looks like Colin Jacobs has been cut.
Jacobs wants to get back to full guard.
Jacobs is still on wobbly legs! Can Wallace finish him?

Jacobs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wallace is trying to control but can't.
Jacobs seems to have recovered his senses.

Wallace tries to hold on but Jacobs postures up.

Jacobs thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Jacobs is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Wallace knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Wallace for a finish.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Wallace breaks Jacobs's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Jacobs had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wallace is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jacobs Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wallace's back instead.
