Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karim El Shejk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sevyn Lorin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Shejk's entrance music is The Bangles - Walk Like An Egyptian. A fine choice. Karim El Shejk looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Shejk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lorin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Karim El Shejk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lorin closes the distance and clinches up with El Shejk, looking for a takedown. Lorin pushes El Shejk against the cage but El Shejk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lorin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lorin wants to get up but he can't break El Shejk's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lorin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. El Shejk can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
El Shejk is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Lorin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But El Shejk has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from El Shejk!

Lorin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but El Shejk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lorin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lorin manages to end up in side control.

Lorin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, El Shejk has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lorin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. El Shejk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lorin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

El Shejk is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lorin is controlling him well.
El Shejk avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lorin.
Sevyn Lorin has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

El Shejk gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Sevyn Lorin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
