Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mahdi Makungu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makungu's entrance music is Nelly - Heart of a Champion. A fine choice. Houston has chosen Colour it in as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makungu throws a hook to the side of Houston's head but Houston sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Makungu closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Makungu lands in his opponent's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Houston is controlling Makungu's posture.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Makungu feints and as Houston raises his hands in defense, Makungu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Houston swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Houston throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Makungu shoots in looking for a takedown. Houston tries to sprawl out of it but Makungu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Houston manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mahdi Makungu will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
