Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dixon comes to the cage accompanied by The Clash - I Fought The Law. Power has chosen X gonna give it to ya - DMX as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Power!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power fails with a takedown attempt.
Power tries for a takedown but Dixon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dixon scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Power misses with a jab, cross combination.
Power shoots in but no luck this time.
Peter Dixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Power.
Power takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


It looks like Thomas Power has been cut.

Power scores with a takedown into Dixon's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dixon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Power can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Power advances to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Power is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Dixon to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Dixon working for a triangle but Power defends it easily.

Dixon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Power would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Power sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dixon's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Power is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Power is trying to control the action in half guard but Dixon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Dixon actively working from the bottom here.

Power is working for a submission of some sort.

Power seems to be working for a kimura but Dixon defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Power wants to stand up but Dixon has a hold of him and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dixon wants to get back to full guard.

Power is trying to work for a kimura but Dixon is defending well.
Dixon is trying to stand.

Dixon kicks off Power and gets to his feet.
Dixon smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Power looks to land a combination but Dixon avoids it well.
Thomas Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dixon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Power is looking to land body kicks.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Power lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dixon moves into the clinch.
Power has Dixon pressed against the cage, preventing Dixon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Power breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Power misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A combination from Dixon does no damage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dixon misses with a hook.
Dixon digs a good body shot into Power's ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter Dixon dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Thomas Power's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Power shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dixon as he jumps to the side.
Dixon dives in and grabs Power's left leg, looking for a takedown. Power pushes down on Dixon's head and hops out.
Power lands with a straight right. Dixon didn't see that one coming.


It looks like Peter Dixon has been cut.
Power bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dixon's head.
Dixon tries to clinch there but Power circles away.
Power thows a body kick. Dixon tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Power throws a right and a left that Dixon avoids nicely.
Dixon tries to clinch but Power is having none of it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Power throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dixon's waist but Dixon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Power off to one side.
Power lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Power connects with an inside leg kick.
Dixon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Power.
Thomas Power seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Power lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Power dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Power's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Power duly obliges.
Peter Dixon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dixon takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sloppy strikes from Power. Those never looked like landing.
Power scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dixon doesn't seem bothered though.
Power rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dixon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dixon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Power lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Dixon falls backwards - clearly groggy! Power dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Power!
Thomas Power very nearly forgot to thank Fossington & Blythe: Gentlemen's Fight Attire amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
