Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Karzamoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladamir Bobkoff!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Karzamoff misses.
Karzamoff cracks the inside of Bobkoff's front leg.
Vladamir Bobkoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bobkoff pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Karzamoff fails to land with a series of punches.
A punch combination from Karzamoff misses.
Bobkoff moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Karzamoff digs a good hook to Bobkoff's body.
Bobkoff looks gassed!
Bobkoff avoids the head kick by Karzamoff.
Karzamoff throws a series of punches but Bobkoff avoids them all with ease.
Bobkoff is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Karzamoff rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bobkoff moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bobkoff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Karzamoff works the jab nicely.
Karzamoff uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bobkoff has time to react.

Karzamoff closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Karzamoff lands in his opponent's guard.

Bobkoff is working an open guard so Karzamoff takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Karzamoff lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Bobkoff takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Karzamoff throws a series of punches but Bobkoff avoids them all with ease.
Bobkoff avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bobkoff throws a poor cross that misses
and Karzamoff counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bobkoff is still on wobbly legs! Can Karzamoff finish him?
Karzamoff cracks Bobkoff on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Bobkoff falls backwards against the cage. Karzamoff follows up with more strikes that drop Bobkoff to his knees. Karzamoff keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Bobkoff! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sergei Karzamoff!
