PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russel Ebert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riley comes to the cage accompanied by Get Up. Ebert comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mean Street - Van Halen kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russel Ebert!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ebert uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Riley.
Ebert looks to land a combination but Riley avoids it well.

Riley dives in and grabs Ebert's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ebert pushes down on Riley's head and hops out.

Ebert lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Riley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ebert.

Ebert looks to score with a jab to the body but Riley is just out of range.

Ebert fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Riley on the side of the head.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Riley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A very excited looking Russel Ebert rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
