The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanhanen throws a body kick that misses.

klein shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vanhanen's guard.

Vanhanen wants to stand and escape but klein is having none of it.

Oh klein is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vanhanen cracks the inside of klein's front leg.

Vanhanen looks to land a right hand but klein moved out of range.
klein closes the distance and clinches up with Vanhanen, looking for a takedown. klein pushes Vanhanen against the cage but Vanhanen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

klein fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vanhanen blocks a head kick by klein.
klein fails to land the takedown.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vanhanen lands with a thumping leg kick.

klein shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vanhanen as he avoids it easily.

klein changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vanhanen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

klein works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
klein wants to control but Vanhanen is keeping him busy.

klein goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Vanhanen has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for klein but great work by Vanhanen.

klein is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
klein manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Vanhanen attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

klein swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Vanhanen is now in klein's guard. A big mistake from klein there, giving up the dominant position!
klein manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vanhanen manages to get himself to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
klein prevents Vanhanen from getting back to his feet.

cody klein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Vanhanen is wriggling around trying to escape but klein has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Vanhanen taps out and klein picks up the big win! Great work there by klein!
