Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Holdstock!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dingadingading Dong!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holdstock wants to clinch.

Holdstock gets caught flat footed, as Dong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Holdstock wants to sweep here but Dong controlling him for the moment.

Holdstock has his foot on Dong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dong works his way back into a safe position though.
Holdstock keeping full guard, as Dong tries to pass.
Dong in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Holdstock bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dong's guard.
Dong being controlled here, momentarily.
Holdstock trying to control but Dong is working from the bottom.
Dong trying to strike off his back.

Dong wants to sweep here but Holdstock controlling him for the moment.

Holdstock looking to pass the guard.

Dong has his foot on Holdstock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Holdstock works his way back into a safe position though.

Dong looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dong tries to strike from the bottom.
Dong is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dong wants to sweep but no luck.
Dong will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Dong looks gassed!
Holdstock wants to control from the top but Dong keeps moving.
Dong utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Holdstock forces his way into half guard.

Holdstock is looking for a kimura but Dong is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Holdstock to get the leverage.

Dong looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Holdstock scores with a takedown into Dong's guard.
Holdstock trying to control the position from guard on top but Dong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Holdstock slips nicely into half guard.

Holdstock is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Dong has managed to free his arm - good work.
Holdstock not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Holdstock prevents Dong from improving his position.
Dong is trying to maintain the position but Holdstock is very close to passing his half guard.
Dong gets back to full guard.

Holdstock is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dong has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Holdstock is looking to defend but Dong has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Holdstock! Dong pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Holdstock taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Dingadingading Dong!
