Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bye Now (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Oppenheim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oppenheim has chosen Mann Gegen Mann as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bye Now!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruno Oppenheim!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oppenheim misses with a straight right.
Now tries to bum rush Oppenheim with a series of wild strikes but Oppenheim uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Now looks to land a combination but Oppenheim avoids it well.
Sloppy strikes from Now. Those never looked like landing.
Oppenheim scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Now fails to land with a series of punches.
Now sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Oppenheim steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Now.
Oppenheim doesn't manage to clinch there - Now circles away.
Now lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Bruno Oppenheim has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oppenheim tries a head kick but it misses.
Oppenheim walks into a stiff left hand from Now.
A swing and a miss from Now.
Oppenheim throws a sloppy head kick and Now moves out of range easily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Oppenheim, right into the meat.

Now swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Now is breathing heavily.

Oppenheim fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Bye Now seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oppenheim pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A punch combination from Now misses.
Now throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oppenheim throws a series of strikes that have Now backpedaling.


It looks like Bye Now has been cut.
Oppenheim moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oppenheim misses with the combination.
Oppenheim jabs at Now's body.
Now avoids the head kick by Oppenheim.
Now throws an off balance right hand
and Oppenheim counters with a nice low kick that buckles Now's knee momentarily.
Oppenheim throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Oppenheim throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Now stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oppenheim slips a jab from Now.
Now takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Oppenheim rushes Now and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Oppenheim.
Oppenheim works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A body shot lands from Oppenheim.
Oppenheim lands an uppercut.

Oppenheim breaks the clinch.
Oppenheim lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Oppenheim pushes Now up against the cage in a clinch.
Oppenheim lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Oppenheim struggles to land a body shot inside as Now controls his hands.
Oppenheim holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Now wants to stall.

Now can't break the clinch.
Now with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Now takes a shot to the head.
Oppenheim lands a body punch.

Oppenheim keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Now's efforts to push away.

Now swings wildly with an uppercut but Oppenheim uses good head movement to avoid it.
The referee calls for Oppenheim to work.
Oppenheim softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Now manages to break the clinch.
Now misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Oppenheim.
Now scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruno Oppenheim dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Now throws a left and a right that both miss
and Oppenheim counters with a left to the body.
Now avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oppenheim pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Oppenheim in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Good shot there by Now.
Oppenheim ducks right into an uppercut from Now.
Now walks forward, straight into a front kick from Oppenheim.
Oppenheim feints and then cracks Now's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Now down.
Now misses with an uppercut. Oppenheim saw that one coming.
Now takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Now takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Oppenheim thumps Now with a low kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Oppenheim tries to clinch up.
A good leg kick by Oppenheim.
Oppenheim throws a combination. Now tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Oppenheim throws a right hand that Now ducks under and follows up with a left that Now also avoids with ease.

Now takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Oppenheim lands with a shot to the body.

Oppenheim drives through and clinches with Now against the cage.
Now dodges an elbow strike from Oppenheim.
A nice left hand lands by Oppenheim.
Oppenheim controlling the action here for a moment.
Now is looking to break free of the clinch but Oppenheim has double underhooks.
Now takes a knee right on the jaw!
Oppenheim cracks Now with a nice body shot.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Now wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Oppenheim will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Now up against the cage.
Oppenheim lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Bruno Oppenheim.
Oppenheim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Now throws a hook to the side of Oppenheim's head but Oppenheim sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Oppenheim throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Now moves out of range as Oppenheim throws a body kick.
Oppenheim is looking to clinch but Now is avoiding it.
Oppenheim ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Now moves away.
Now moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Now throws a series of punches but Oppenheim moves out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Now swinging wildly here.

A combination from Now does no damage.
Oppenheim lands with a nice combination. Now backs away looking to recover.
Now misses with the combination.
Now tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
No joy there for Now, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A shot to the liver by Oppenheim. Beautiful body shot.
Oppenheim turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Now walks into a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Oppenheim feints a jab promting Now to slip. Oppenheim then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Now slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Oppenheim throws a nice inside leg kick.
Oppenheim lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oppenheim lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Oppenheim clobbers Now with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


Now is rocked!
Now takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Oppenheim swinging wildly here.

Oppenheim lands a big head kick that sends Now tumbling to the mat! Oppenheim takes a step backwards and waves Now back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Now is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oppenheim fails to land with a series of punches.
Now takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Now takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Now misses with a right hand
and Oppenheim counters with a solid body kick.
Oppenheim misses with a head kick.
Oppenheim tests Now's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Now showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Oppenheim.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Oppenheim! Now is out on his feet! Oppenheim rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Now is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Now is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruno Oppenheim!
In his post fight interview, Bruno Oppenheim started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
