Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, John Harris!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Theodosi leaves Harris with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Rikki Theodosi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Harris.
Theodosi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Harris shoots in looking for a takedown but Theodosi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Harris's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

It looks like John Harris has been cut.
Theodosi looks to score with a jab to the body but Harris is just out of range.

Harris changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Theodosi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Theodosi parries the strikes from Harris easily there. Harris is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Theodosi to escape.
Theodosi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harris on the ground.

Theodosi parries the strikes from Harris easily there. Harris is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Theodosi to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harris goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Theodosi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Harris's guard! Nice work there by Theodosi!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Harris has his feet on Theodosi's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Harris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Harris wants to work for an arm triangle but Theodosi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Harris dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Theodosi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Theodosi wants it to stay on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Harris is defended easily by Theodosi.

Harris shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Theodosi sprawls well. Theodosi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Harris gets slowly back to his feet.

Harris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Harris is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Theodosi is trying to escape and Harris transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Theodosi is forced to tap! Nice work there by Harris! Very nice indeed!
