PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kondzio Celka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Celka might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sabaton - Birds of War. Bob has chosen Notkea rotta - Itä meidän as his entrance music. Kondzio Celka could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Billy Bob's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Billy Bob!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A nice combination there by Bob.

It looks like Kondzio Celka has been cut.
Celka slaps away a takedown attempt from Bob, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bob misses with a takedown attempt - Celka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Celka clinches up with Bob and pushes him back against the cage.
Celka has Bob pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bob manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Celka decides to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bob trying to control but Celka is working from the bottom.
Bob tries to free his leg and advance position but Celka is retaining full guard.

Bob has gone for a leg lock! Celka slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bob's guard.
Celka won't allow Bob to get back to his feet.
Celka might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Celka trying to control the position from guard on top but Bob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bob pushes Celka off and scrambles back to his feet.
Bob lands with a shot to the body.
Celka slips a jab and a cross from Bob.
Bob misses with a hook. Celka ducked under it nicely.
Bob misses with a looping right.

Celka drives through with a takedown into guard.
Celka trying to control but Bob is working from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Celka chips away with some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Celka postures up in Bob's guard and throws a big left but Bob blocks it.
Bob being controlled here, momentarily.
Celka has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Celka looking to sit in guard and control but Bob gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Celka looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bob puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bob prevents Celka from improving his position.

Bob stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Celka to get to his feet.
Bob tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Celka swivels and escapes.
Kondzio Celka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Bob.

Celka shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bob napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bob tries to improve position but can't.
Bob is not content to let Celka control the position.
Celka sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bob is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Celka in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Bob is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Celka is controlling him well.
Bob is not content to let Celka control the position.
Bob pushes Celka away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Celka gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Bob looks gassed!

Bob is rocked!
Bob is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Celka is controlling him well.
Bob is still in real trouble! Can Celka finish him?

Celka cracks Bob with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Celka immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bob is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Celka!
