The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyamoto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stamatis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stamatis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stamatis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Miyamoto manages to avoid it.
Stamatis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Miyamoto enables Stamatis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Miyamoto manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Stamatis lands a huge takedown. Miyamoto is out but the ref is slow to react and Stamatis lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Miyamoto lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
