Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Mimic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Hilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mimic comes to the cage accompanied by Carol of the Old Ones. Mike Mimic has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hilton takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Hilton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mimic was covering up waiting for the punch and Hilton finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Mimic throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hilton escapes and throws Mimic's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Hilton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hilton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mimic wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Mimic will probably get the nod.

Hilton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hilton there as he acknowledges the shot.

No joy there for Hilton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hilton takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mimic creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Mimic throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hilton blocks it with crossed arms.
Mimic dips a shoulder and cracks Hilton with a mighty uppercut! Hilton falls back against the cage and Mimic unloads with a barrage of strikes! Hilton is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Mimic screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
