PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between War Tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jigoro Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Kahn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tank swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kahn throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like War Tank has been cut.
Kahn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tank paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kahn misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tank.
Tank misses with the combination.
Tank tries to land a body kick
and Kahn counters with a two punch combo.
Tank fails to land with a series of punches.
Kahn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tank throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tank throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kahn was covering up waiting for the punch and Tank finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tank postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Tank with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kahn working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tank.
Tank engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Tank stands up over Kahn, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Tank is pushing down on Kahn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kahn is fighting to maintain full guard but Tank has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kahn on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tank scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Tank working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Tank fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Kahn is rocked!
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Tank! Kahn is out cold! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, War Tank thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
