PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Rocco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Randy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy has chosen Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up To Boston as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocco shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rocco shoots for a double leg takedown but Randy sprawls well. He's pushed Rocco's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Rocco. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Randy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rocco.
Horrible takedown by Rocco or perhaps it was just good defense by Randy which made him look bad.

Randy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Randy punishes Rocco's body with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Randy fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Randy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Rocco keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Randy scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Randy drops Rocco with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rocco looks back up at him and smiles so Randy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Randy cracks Rocco with a left hook right on the temple and Rocco goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Randy lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Rocco is OK!
