Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Uta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Redkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Uta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Redkin!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Redkin tries to sprawl but Uta drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Redkin is looking to improve his position.
Uta thows a huge punch but Redkin dodges it nicely.
Redkin looks like he's trying to stand up.
Redkin is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Uta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Uta passes the guard and advances to mount!

Redkin is trying desperately to improve position.
Uta misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Uta is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Redkin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Uta tries to clinch but Redkin is having none of it.
No luck for Redkin with that takedown attempt.

Redkin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Uta stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Uta wants it to stay on the feet.
Redkin slaps away a takedown attempt from Uta, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Redkin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Uta drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Uta decides to stand back up. Uta steps back and let's Redkin get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Redkin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Uta's waist but Uta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Redkin off to one side.
John Uta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Redkin.
Redkin shoots for a takedown but Uta saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Uta tries to clinch there but Redkin circles away.
Dave Redkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Uta gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Uta has Redkin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Redkin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Uta looks to land a combination. Redkin sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Uta moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Uta fails to land the takedown.
Redkin lands with a kick to the temple. Uta shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Redkin tries to clinch up.
Redkin tries a head kick but it misses.

Redkin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Uta jumps guard but Redkin stands there with Uta around his waist. Uta gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Redkin wants to break the clinch but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Uta dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Redkin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Redkin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Uta eats them both and turns towards Redkin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dave Redkin decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
