Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimitry Yzagoev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimitry Yzagoev!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Hunt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hunt.
Hunt throws a good cross that connects.
Hunt thows a body shot but no joy.
Hunt lands with a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yzagoev as he avoids it easily.
Hunt is trying hard to land a takedown here. Yzagoev sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Hunt. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hunt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Yzagoev tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hunt is in Yzagoev's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mike Hunt just wasn't active enough.
Yzagoev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hunt tries to avoid it but Yzagoev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hunt to the ground. Hunt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hunt fails to land the takedown.
Yzagoev looks to clinch

so Hunt counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Hunt wants to control from the top but Yzagoev keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunt trying to control the position from guard on top but Yzagoev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Yzagoev wriggles free and stands up.
Sloppy strikes from Hunt. Those never looked like landing.
Hunt takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Yzagoev can't get the takedown.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hunt is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Yzagoev jumps guard and drags Hunt to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Hunt is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Yzagoev is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Yzagoev manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yzagoev prevents Hunt from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Hunt dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Yzagoev fails in his attempt to clinch.
Yzagoev tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hunt.
Hunt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Yzagoev is looking to land body kicks.
Hunt on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Yzagoev shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Yzagoev perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hunt is trying to stand.
Yzagoev throwing shots but Hunt is blocking nicely.
Yzagoev thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Yzagoev lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Yzagoev is trying to control the action in half guard but Hunt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hunt on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Yzagoev drops an elbow to the side of Hunt's head.
Hunt has hold of Yzagoev's hands but Yzagoev slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hunt is looking to improve his position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Yzagoev lands a nice short elbow.
Yzagoev passes the guard and advances to mount!

Hunt takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Yzagoev's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
