Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ashley Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Byrd has chosen "99 Problems" by Jay-Z as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Byrd scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Morrison wants to improve his position but Byrd is controlling well.
Morrison is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Byrd pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Byrd is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Morrison has managed to free his arm - good work.
Morrison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Byrd tries to free his leg and advance position but Morrison is retaining full guard.
Byrd is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Morrison has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Byrd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Byrd avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Morrison is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Byrd drops back looking for a leg! Morrison is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morrison manages to kick Byrd off! Byrd jumps back into Morrison's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Byrd looks gassed!
Morrison has his foot on Byrd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Byrd works his way back into a safe position though.
Morrison escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Byrd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Morrison manages to get back to half guard.

Morrison has his foot on Byrd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Byrd works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Morrison seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Byrd is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
