PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Mcofee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ong Bak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bak comes into a darkened arena with his song building. One Night In Bangkok kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ong Bak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcofee closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bak did well to prevent Mcofee getting side control.
Mcofee frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Mcofee throwing strikes here but Bak is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Mcofee lands a big elbow.
Bak wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mcofee.

Mcofee goes for an armbar but Bak turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bak.

Mcofee has his foot on Bak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bak works his way back into a safe position though.

Bak trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcofee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bak stands up from guard. Let's bang!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mcofee.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mcofee.
Mcofee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mcofee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bak lands a jab to Mcofee's midsection.
Bak throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Mcofee tries for a takedown but Bak sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mcofee is breathing heavily.
Bak digs a good body shot into Mcofee's ribs.
Bak lands with a nice combination. Mcofee backs away looking to recover.

Bak shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mcofee eats them both and turns towards Bak to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Bak cracks the inside of Mcofee's front leg.
Bak keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mcofee could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bak lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bak.
Bak connects with an inside leg kick.

A left and a right from Bak both land. Nice combination.
Mcofee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A lazy left from Bak finds it's target.
Mcofee takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Mcofee walks into a jab.
Mcofee looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Mcofee gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bak cracks Mcofee with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Mcofee is rocked!
Mcofee has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Oh Mcofee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bak scores with the left hand. Mcofee knows he should have avoided that one.
Bak shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mcofee eats them both and turns towards Bak to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Bak stalks Mcofee and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mcofee's face. Mcofee staggers backwards, shaken.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Bak! Mcofee is backing up but he can't get away as Bak lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Mcofee and ends the fight. Great knockout.
