Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeburdiah Zappatista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holden Rosenthal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zappatista comes to the cage accompanied by Kanye West - Runaway. Rosenthal has chosen Rick Derringer - I Am a Real American as his entrance music. Zappatista has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Holden Rosenthal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zeburdiah Zappatista!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Holden Rosenthal!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosenthal blocks the body kick.
Zappatista shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rosenthal lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Zappatista at a distance.
Zappatista is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheers as Rosenthal lands an impressive looking overhand right. Zappatista doesn't seem phased though.
Zappatista misses with a leg kick
letting Rosenthal counter with a right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rosenthal scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rosenthal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zappatista's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rosenthal seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Zappatista throws a shot from downtown. Rosenthal moves away and avoids it.
Zappatista throws a sloppy head kick and Rosenthal moves out of range easily.
Zappatista looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rosenthal is fending him off so far but Zappatista persists. Nope, Rosenthal circles away and we're back to standing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rosenthal is looking to take a break and control but Zappatista is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Zappatista walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rosenthal checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Zappatista shoots for a takedown but Rosenthal saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Rosenthal shoots in and bounces Zappatista off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Zappatista controls Rosenthal momentarily but Rosenthal frees himself.
Rosenthal distracts Zappatista with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Zappatista wants to sweep here but Rosenthal controlling him for the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rosenthal lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Zappatista not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Holden Rosenthal wasn't active enough on the ground.
Rosenthal throws a sloppy head kick and Zappatista moves out of range easily.
Zappatista fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rosenthal manages to avoid it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Zappatista uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rosenthal.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rosenthal. Zappatista does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rosenthal fails with a takedown attempt.
Zappatista throws a leg kick which misses Rosenthal's front leg but catches the back leg as Rosenthal tries to avoid it.
Rosenthal slips under a jab.
Rosenthal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zappatista paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rosenthal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zappatista tries to avoid it but Rosenthal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zappatista to the ground. Zappatista escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Zappatista shoots in for a takedown but Rosenthal shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rosenthal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Holden Rosenthal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rosenthal accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rosenthal pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zappatista is keeping the position for now.
Rosenthal is pushing down on Zappatista's leg trying to pass to half guard. Zappatista is fighting to maintain full guard but Rosenthal has managed to sneak the leg through.

Rosenthal is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zappatista is just riding it out for now. Rosenthal eventually gives up the hold.
Rosenthal wants to control but Zappatista is keeping him busy.
Zeburdiah Zappatista has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Rosenthal shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Zappatista is trying to defend but Rosenthal finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Rosenthal seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Rosenthal connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Zappatista some visible discomfort.

Rosenthal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zappatista keeps working.

Holden Rosenthal comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rosenthal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Holden Rosenthal was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
