PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Forio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esko Morko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morko has chosen Cannibal Corpse - Make Them Suffer as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forio scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Forio lands a nice shot to the body.
Forio scores with a push kick.
Forio throws a left that rocks Morko and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Forio dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Morko regain composure!

Morko is rocked!

It looks like Esko Morko has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Morko is not content to let Forio control the position.
Morko is still in real trouble! Can Forio finish him?

Forio working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on Morko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Morko seems to have recovered his senses.
Forio looks up at the clock and then as Morko takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Forio smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Forio uses his free foot to push down on Morko's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Morko.

Forio wants to finish this one by submission but Morko is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Forio.

Forio is trying to stick to Morko's back but Morko is turning into Forio. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Forio's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Morko.
Forio wants to sweep here but Morko controlling him for the moment.

Morko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Morko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Forio has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Morko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Morko takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Morko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Forio swings for the body but Morko moves out of range.
No luck for Morko with that takedown attempt.
Nice combo by Forio! Oh, that's hurt him - Morko falls to the canvas and Forio follows him into side control.
Forio scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Morko is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Forio can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
