Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raimonds Bergmanis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Stam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bergmanis might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Twiztid - We Don't Die. Stam has chosen Tony Iommi - Grace as his entrance music. Leonard Stam has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Raimonds Bergmanis's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Leonard Stam!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stam closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bergmanis's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Stam trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Stam working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bergmanis keeping full guard, as Stam tries to pass.
Stam wants to stand but Bergmanis is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bergmanis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stam's guard.
Bergmanis engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Stam keeping full guard, as Bergmanis tries to pass.
Stam throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Bergmanis trying to control but Stam is working from the bottom.
Stam is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bergmanis is controlling him.

Stam looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bergmanis passes into half guard.
Bergmanis works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bergmanis is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Bergmanis lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Stam hang on?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stam is looking to improve his position but Bergmanis isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bergmanis working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Stam tries to buck Bergmanis off but he can't manage it.
Bergmanis avoids the attempt from Stam to control.
Stam regains half guard.
Bergmanis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stam with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Stam manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Bergmanis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Bergmanis just misses with a punch to the body.
Stam is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bergmanis.

Bergmanis clinches up with Stam and pushes him back against the cage.

Stam breaks from the clinch.
Stam misses with a double jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bergmanis works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Stam is working for takedown but Bergmanis is calmly controlling the position for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stam wants a takedown but no success here.
Stam looks gassed!
Stam tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bergmanis smiles and moves away.
Raimonds Bergmanis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonard Stam.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bergmanis just misses with a punch to the body.
Bergmanis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stam looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Stam is pressed up against the cage. Bergmanis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stam down to the mat. Stam avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bergmanis slips a jab and a cross from Stam.
Bergmanis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Bergmanis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stam manages to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stam doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Stam keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raimonds Bergmanis dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Stam on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Stam will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A big right from Bergmanis misses.
Bergmanis scores with a decent looking hook.

Stam clinches up with Bergmanis and pushes him back against the cage.
Stam fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bergmanis throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Stam letting Bergmanis take a breather here.
Bergmanis tries for a takedown but Stam manages to get underhooks.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bergmanis lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Stam manages to pull guard.
Bergmanis forces his way into half guard.
Bergmanis prevents Stam from standing back up.
Stam is breathing heavily.

Bergmanis is trying to control. Stam wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Still in half guard, Bergmanis seems content to control.
Stam won't allow Bergmanis to pass to mount.

Stam is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bergmanis pulls his head out easily.
Stam is refusing to be controlled, as Bergmanis sits in half guard.
Bergmanis passes the guard and advances to mount!
Bergmanis scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Stam keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Stam is squirming around, avoiding Bergmanis's attempts to control the action.
Stam trying desperately to get to his feet.
Bergmanis wants to control the pace but Stam is squirming around nicely.

Bergmanis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Stam has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Stam is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stam tries to reverse the position but Bergmanis maintains control.
Stam tries to hold on but Bergmanis pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bergmanis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Bergmanis trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Stam is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bergmanis trying to control but Stam is having none of it.
Stam is looking to get to half guard.
Stam is in a horrible position here. Bergmanis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stam is trying desperately to improve position.
Bergmanis controlling the position easily from mount.
Stam is trying to escape the mount.
Stam tries to hold on but Bergmanis pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stam might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bergmanis kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Stam wants to try and get back to his feet.
Stam is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stam pushes a forearm under Bergmanis's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bergmanis is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
