Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geoff Strangle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Kuban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strangle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kuban counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Strangle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kuban sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Strangle somewhat.

Kuban gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strangle gets back to full guard.
Kuban prevents Strangle from getting back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Kuban tries to keep at a distance but Strangle has taken the fight into the clinch.
Strangle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kuban just stands there and leans against the cage.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Strangle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kuban as he jumps to the side.

Kuban shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Strangle's guard.
Strangle controls Kuban momentarily but Kuban frees himself.
Kuban wants to stand but Strangle is controlling his posture from full guard.

Strangle is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kuban has his hands clasped together but Strangle extends an breaks Kuban's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Strangle.
