The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanjimoto darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Sanjimoto works over Takahashi's head and body with a nice combination.

Sanjimoto lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sanjimoto.
Sanjimoto throws a series of punches but Takahashi moves out of range.
Sanjimoto lands with a nice body punch.
Sanjimoto scores with a jab to the head.
Takahashi throws a quick inside leg kick.
Sanjimoto digs a good hook to Takahashi's body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sanjimoto scores with a decent looking hook.
Sanjimoto pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Takahashi back to the cage. Sanjimoto follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Takahashi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sanjimoto scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Takahashi doesn't seem bothered though.
Takahashi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sanjimoto counters with a straight right hand.

Yakin Sanjimoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryosuke Takahashi.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanjimoto decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Takahashi, up you get!
Sanjimoto connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Takahashi momentarily.
Sanjimoto lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sanjimoto feints a jab promting Takahashi to slip. Sanjimoto then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Takahashi slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Takahashi is rocked!
Yakin Sanjimoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanjimoto throws an uppercut from hell that sends Takahashi clean off his feet! He's out cold! Sanjimoto stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
