PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pawel Brzoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Bonjesky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonjesky connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Brzoza dives in and scores a takedown into Bonjesky's guard.

Brzoza postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Brzoza is pushing down on Bonjesky's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bonjesky is fighting to maintain full guard but Brzoza has managed to sneak the leg through.

Brzoza has hold of Bonjesky's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bonjesky manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bonjesky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brzoza manages to get himself to full guard.

Brzoza has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bonjesky is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brzoza.

Brzoza takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bonjesky wants to control but Brzoza is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Brzoza is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bonjesky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brzoza.

Brzoza is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bonjesky scores with a one two! Brzoza had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Brzoza throws a wild hook but Bonjesky just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Brzoza gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Bonjesky raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
