The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zakarova has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mayweather Jr finds it's way round the side to connect with Zakarova's head.
Mayweather Jr throws a big shot that misses.
Mayweather Jr throws a hook but Zakarova blocks it.
Mayweather Jr digs a good hook to Zakarova's body.
Zakarova closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Zakarova feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mayweather Jr's calf.
Zakarova slips under a jab.
Zakarova tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mayweather Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Zakarova.
Mayweather Jr throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mayweather Jr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Zakarova looks to land a body kick but Mayweather Jr moved away.
Mayweather Jr throws a looping overhand right but Zakarova ducks down to avoid it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mayweather Jr misses with a two punch combination.
Zakarova lands with a good body shot.
Mayweather Jr throws a hook but Zakarova blocks it.
Zakarova scores with a decent looking hook.
Mayweather Jr steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Zakarova. That one must have hurt.
Mayweather Jr looks gassed!
Zakarova thows a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zakarova scores with a spinning back kick!
Zakarova bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mayweather Jr's head backwards.
Mayweather Jr is rocked!
Zakarova pushes Mayweather Jr away with a front kick.
Mayweather Jr is still on wobbly legs! Can Zakarova finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mayweather Jr drops his hands momentarily and Zakarova needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Mayweather Jr just on the top of the head. Mayweather Jr drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Mayweather Jr - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Mikhail Zakarova!
