Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Herb Hurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naru Jarkko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarkko has chosen Hawaii 78 & E ala E as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurt fails with the takedown.
Hurt tries to clinch but Jarkko is having none of it.
Jarkko looks to score with a jab to the body but Hurt is just out of range.
Jarkko cracks a nice hook into Hurt's ribs.
Hurt takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hurt throws a push kick but Jarkko slaps the foot to one side.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hurt.
Jarkko works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hurt staying out of range there.
Hurt throws a low kick, looking for Jarkko's leg but Jarkko calmly moves out of range.
Jarkko throws a right and a left that Hurt avoids nicely.

Jarkko ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Hurt misses with a body kick.
Hurt tries to clinch there but Jarkko circles away.
Hurt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hurt throws a sloppy head kick and Jarkko moves out of range easily.
Hurt lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hurt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

A jab from Jarkko finds it's way through Hurt's defenses.
Jarkko throws a shot from downtown. Hurt moves away and avoids it.
Hurt shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Jarkko just misses with a punch to the body.
Hurt walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jarkko checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Hurt gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hurt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jarkko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hurt wants to stand but Jarkko is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jarkko sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hurt's guard.
Jarkko is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jarkko winds up and cracks Hurt with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

You get the feeling that Hurt really doesn't like being in this position too much.
