The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rutten moves into the clinch.

Rutten turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rutten manages to end up in side control.
Redwood is holding Rutten down, trying to stall.
Rutten laying and praying for a moment but Redwood takes advantage and regains half guard.
Redwood wants to improve his position but Rutten is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rutten works his way into full mount!
Rutten can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Redwood is looking to escape.
Redwood reaches up to try and control the position but Rutten seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Redwood rolls and tries to escape and now Rutten has his back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Redwood has hold of Rutten's leg, trying to break free but it's let Rutten lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Redwood is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Rutten throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
