The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from McCarty as Dunaev shoots in.
McCarty looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
McCarty tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dunaev looking to stall.

Dunaev breaks from the clinch.

Dunaev rushes McCarty and presses him up against the cage.
McCarty is looking for a takedown.
Dunaev tries to work over McCarty's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
McCarty lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dunaev or not.
Dunaev misses with an elbow strike.
Dunaev can't get the takedown.
Dunaev is trying to break the clinch but McCarty has him pressed against the cage.

Dunaev misses with a hook to the ribs.
McCarty is trying to pull guard but Dunaev has him pressed against the cage.
Maxim Dunaev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon McCarty.

McCarty doesn't manage to clinch there - Dunaev circles away.
McCarty shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dunaev but Dunaev pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dunaev lands with a kick to the temple. McCarty shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Jon McCarty has been cut.

Dunaev lands a big head kick that sends McCarty tumbling to the mat! Dunaev takes a step backwards and waves McCarty back to his feet - he wants the finish!

McCarty is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dunaev throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Dunaev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dunaev is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McCarty.
McCarty is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Dunaev Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! McCarty is out cold, face down on the mat!
