Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Damon Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakob Juarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierce comes to the cage accompanied by Eve 6 - Inside Out. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juarez looks to land a right hand but Pierce moved out of range.
Juarez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Pierce punishes Juarez's body with a nice straight punch.
Juarez throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Pierce counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Pierce is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Pierce wants to control from the top but Juarez keeps moving.

Pierce sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Juarez's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Damon Pierce just wasn't active enough.
Pierce throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Juarez's waist but Juarez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pierce off to one side.
Juarez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pierce.

Juarez scores with a hook to the body. Pierce takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Juarez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pierce.
Pierce shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Juarez sprawls well. Juarez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pierce gets slowly back to his feet.

Juarez thows a body shot but no joy.
Juarez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Juarez throws a jab when Pierce was well out of range.
Juarez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pierce swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Juarez dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pierce. That did some damage!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Juarez is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jakob Juarez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Pierce walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Pierce throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Juarez's waist but Juarez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pierce off to one side.

Juarez throws a shot from downtown. Pierce moves away and avoids it.
Juarez lands with an uppercut that bounces Pierce off the cage and back into range.
No joy there for Juarez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Juarez rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

so Pierce counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Juarez can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Juarez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pierce is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Juarez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Juarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pierce. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
