The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Nathan Summers has been cut.
Weiland tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Summers was well out of range. Poor timing from Weiland.
Weiland tries to bum rush Summers with a series of wild strikes but Summers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Weiland throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Summers's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Weiland dives in looking to finish as Summers flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Weiland's strikes! Weiland is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Summers's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Summers was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
