PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roy Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Hamburger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Robinson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Redemption!!! from the movie Rocky II. Hector Hamburger has the eye of the tiger tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hector Hamburger!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamburger showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Robinson.
A head kick misses from Hamburger.
Hamburger throws a head kick but Robinson moves out of range.
Robinson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Robinson.

It looks like Hector Hamburger has been cut.

and Robinson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Robinson!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hamburger shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Robinson as he avoids it easily.

Robinson cracks Hamburger with an uppercut from hell and Hamburger crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Robinson's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Robinson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hamburger is still in real trouble! Can Robinson finish him?

Robinson wants to control but Hamburger is keeping him busy.
Robinson lands an elbow.
Hamburger seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That has opened up Hector Hamburger's cut even more.
Robinson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hamburger keeps working.

Robinson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Robinson softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Hamburger is out cold! Robinson jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
