The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filitov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Johnson manages to avoid it.
Johnson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Filitov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Filitov misses the body punch

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Johnson trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Filitov manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Filitov wants to stand but Johnson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Filitov wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Johnson is looking to sweep but instead, Filitov has passed into half guard.
Filitov prevents Johnson from improving his position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Filitov wants to stand but Johnson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Filitov wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

Filitov decides to stand back up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Filitov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Filitov connects with a right hand. Johnson shakes it off.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Filitov circles away easily
and Filitov makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Johnson really felt that one!

Filitov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Johnson thows a leg kick but Filitov checks it
and Filitov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Filitov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson's guard.

Filitov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get!
Filitov just misses with a punch to the body.
Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Filitov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Collin Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Johnson tries for a takedown but Filitov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Filitov counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Johnson!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Filitov is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Johnson is forced to tap! Great finish!
