I think Marshall might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rotten Apple -- Alice in Chains. Doug Marshall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doug Marshall!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick Kenzie!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kenzies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Marshall lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Doug Marshall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kenzie, as that shot connected.
Marshall lands a leg kick that knocks Kenzie off balance momentarily.
Kenzie misses the shot to the body.
Kenzie takes a swing at Marshall's ribcage but misses.
Kenzie ducks under a wild hook from Marshall.
Marshall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kenzie throws a predictable looking body shot
and Marshall counters with a stiff right hand.
Marshall misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kenzie.
Marshall misses with a looping left.
Kenzie throws a series of punches but Marshall avoids them all with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marshall scores with a spinning back kick!
Marshall throws a big shot that misses.
Kenzie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A left lands for Marshall.


It looks like Patrick Kenzie has been cut.
Marshall connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Marshall thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kenzie sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marshall looks to land a right hand but Kenzie moved out of range.
Marshall bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marshall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kenzie was well out of range. Poor timing from Marshall.
That kick from Marshall tenderised Kenzie's leg. Kenzie is trying to keep his angry face on.
Marshall lands with a kick to the temple. Kenzie shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Kenzie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


Kenzie is rocked!
Kenzie blocks a head kick by Marshall.
Kenzie is still on wobbly legs! Can Marshall finish him?
Marshall looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Marshall backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Kenzie's temple! It sends Kenzie violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Marshall celebrates and the doctors try to help Kenzie!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Doug Marshall!
Doug Marshall retains his welterweight title!
