The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwood throws a looping overhand right but Harper ducks down to avoid it.
Blackwood with a poor takedown
and Harper counters with a series of strikes. Blackwood will be more careful next time no doubt.
Harper uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Blackwood.
Harper lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Thor Blackwood has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blackwood shoots and misses
and Harper counters with a nice uppercut.
Harper lands a leg kick that knocks Blackwood off balance momentarily.
Blackwood cracks Harper with a right hand to the side of the head.
Blackwood with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Harper to score with a decent uppercut.

and Harper counters with a right hand to the body.
Blackwood slips a jab from Harper.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blackwood. Harper does a little dance to reset his feet.

Harper blocks a head kick by Blackwood.
Harper lands the left hand.
Blackwood slips a jab from Harper.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Harper.
Harper throws a leg kick which misses Blackwood's front leg but catches the back leg as Blackwood tries to avoid it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That kick from Harper tenderised Blackwood's leg. Blackwood is trying to keep his angry face on.
