Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hideyoshi Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenichi Osada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okami shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Osada but Osada pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Osada throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Osada feints and then cracks Okami's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Okami down.

and Okami counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Okami is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Osada wants to control but Okami is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Okami misses with a head shot. Osada uses the momentum to regain guard.
Osada preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Okami throwing strikes but missing.
Okami looking to sit in guard and control but Osada gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Okami has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Osada has passed into side control.
Osada is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Okami will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Osada tries to advance to mount but can't.
Okami has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Okami tries to improve position but can't.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Okami is trying to improve his position.
Osada remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Okami is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Okami has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Osada is working away from the top position though.
Okami is staying active underneath Osada, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Okami moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Okami wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hideyoshi Okami will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A jab from Osada misses.
Okami shoots in looking for a takedown but Osada manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Okami's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Osada connects with a leg kick. Okami looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Okami doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Osada counters with a stiff right hand.
No luck for Okami with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hideyoshi Okami. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Okami tries for a takedown but Osada sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Osada.
Okami takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Osada drops Okami with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Okami looks back up at him and smiles so Osada waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Oh Okami is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Okami tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Osada lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Okami is looking to close the distance but Osada sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Okami crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Okami is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
