Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Pacquio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Nascimento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nascimento has chosen PROMENTORY as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacquio moves in looking to clinch but Nascimento pushes him off.
Nascimento closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pacquio circles away.
Nascimento shoots for a takedown but Pacquio saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nascimento shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pacquio as he jumps to the side.
Aaron Pacquio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabio Nascimento.
Pacquio tries to clinch but Nascimento is having none of it.

Nascimento throws and low kick but Pacquio moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pacquio forces Nascimento back against the cage and clinches.
Nascimento using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pacquio has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Pacquio comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Pacquio gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Fabio Nascimento has been cut.

Pacquio lands an elbow inside that Nascimento shrugs off.

That has opened up Fabio Nascimento's cut even more.

The cut above Fabio Nascimento's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Pacquio lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Nascimento manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Nascimento has his foot on Pacquio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pacquio works his way back into a safe position though.

Nascimento had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pacquio is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nascimento Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pacquio's back instead.

Nascimento is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Pacquio defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Pacquio is having to fend off submission attempts from Nascimento, who is looking to sink in the choke. Nascimento doesn't have the hooks in though and Pacquio manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Pacquio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nascimento on the ground.

Pacquio gets to his feet - Nascimento follows without any prompting.
A big head kick from Pacquio and Nascimento is sent sprawling to the canvas!

Nascimento is rocked!

Fabio Nascimento's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Fabio Nascimento's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
