PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kane Kilburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karol Salamon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kilburn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Always. Salamon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Republika - Nie pytaj o Polske. Karol Salamon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Karol Salamon!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilburn throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
An inside leg kick lands from Kilburn.
Salamon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kilburn.
Salamon takes a swing at Kilburn's ribcage but misses.
Kilburn pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kilburn misses with a body kick.
Kilburn checks a low kick from Salamon.
Salamon finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kilburn throws a wild body kick that Salamon sees coming a mile off.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Salamon.

Kilburn throws a push kick but Salamon slaps the foot to one side.

Kilburn connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Salamon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kilburn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Salamon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kane Kilburn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Salamon swings around for an armbar but Kilburn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Salamon's guard.
Salamon seems keen to control Kilburn's posture.
Kilburn controls from within his opponent's guard.
Salamon is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.
Salamon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
