The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Felix feints and as Thomlinson raises his hands in defense, Felix changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Felix postures up.

Felix drops back looking for a leg! Thomlinson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thomlinson manages to kick Felix off! Felix jumps back into Thomlinson's guard.
Felix loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Thomlinson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Felix is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Thomlinson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Felix's back instead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Felix tries to escape the position.
What can Felix do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Well, with Thomlinson on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Felix is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Felix wants to control his opponent's hands but Thomlinson gets his hands free.
Felix is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Felix is trying to get back to his feet but Thomlinson has full control of the position and if anything, Felix has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Felix trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Thomlinson is trying to stick to Felix's back but Felix is turning into Thomlinson. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Thomlinson's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Felix.

Felix has his hands clasped together but Thomlinson extends an breaks Felix's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Thomlinson.
