Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogdan Wasilcov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hero comes to the cage accompanied by No shelter - Rage against the machine. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hero cracks Wasilcov with a good jab.
Hero throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Hero has Wasilcov up against the cage in a clinch.

Hero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hero closes the distance and clinches.

Hero gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hero is working for a kimura but Wasilcov is defending it quite comfortably.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hero missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Hero is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Wasilcov is not content to let Hero control the position.

Hero lands with a punch from half guard.

Hero is keen to just control but Wasilcov is a slippery customer.

Hero decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Hero throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Hero drives through with a takedown into Wasilcov's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hero stands up from Wasilcov's guard - Hero perhaps looking for a knockout.
Wasilcov slips a jab and a cross from Hero.
Hero throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Wasilcov.
Hero swats away the attempt to clinch by Wasilcov.

Hero has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wasilcov looking to stall.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hero breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hero throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wasilcov.
Wasilcov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hero as he jumps to the side.
Wasilcov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hero pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wasilcov back to the cage. Hero follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Hero drops Wasilcov with a left and a right! Oh, Wasilcov is hurt - Hero dives into side control looking to finish!

Wasilcov is rocked!

Hero is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Wasilcov is trying to escape and Hero transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Wasilcov is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hero! Very nice indeed!
