Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Platinum Gold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arnold Palmer!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gold has taken the fight to the clinch.
Palmer is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gold is defending well.
Palmer blocks an elbow strike from Gold.
Gold trying to control the position but instead, Palmer has worked for underhooks and has pushed Gold into the cage.
Gold misses with some punches.
With the fighters up against the cage, Gold throws an elbow but misses.
Knees in the clinch landing for Gold.
Gold misses with a knee strike.

Palmer turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Palmer manages to end up in side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Palmer lands some shots froms side control.
Gold on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gold tries to get out of the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gold is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Palmer asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Palmer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gold is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Gold is looking to regain half guard here but Palmer keeps moving and retains side control.

Palmer looks up at the clock and then as Gold takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Palmer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Palmer lands a strong strike to the head of Gold. That's dazed him! Palmer looking to finish here. Gold is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Palmer lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arnold Palmer!
Arnold Palmer took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I just want to thank all the fans and others who supported me over the year(s). I was lucky to even win this fight. Thank you all as I return back to retirement.'.
